Leslie served as an early the 2nd assembly correspondent, replacing Richard by 1958, and serving in that role thru 1975. He was farming near Lakin Twp., Harvey Co., KS in 1951, and had relocated to Hutchinson by 1953. No children. They resided in Branson, MO for a time, relocating finally to Newton in 1990, where Malinda resided at the Friendly Acres Retirement Community. In 1994, at the time of Malinda's passing, she had been attending [https://fmcnewton.org/ First Missionary Church], affiliated with a [https://mcusa.org/history Missionary Church] denom in Fort Wayne, [[Indiana]] previously known as the Mennonite BIC, founded in 1883. Leslie's 2nd wife Ada's mother was a daughter of Jacob J(ohann?) B(enjamin?) Becker (b. 1866 Antonovka, Gomel, Belarus - d. 1947 Roxbury, McP., KS) & Mary H. Koehn Becker (b. 1869 Antonovka, Belarus - d. 1942 Roxbury, KS). Jacob's family immigrated to the U.S. in 1874, his parents were Benjamin "Ben" Johann Becker (b. 1838 RU - d. 1905 Goltry, Alfalfa, OK) & Eva Becker-Dirks (b. 1856 Russia - d. 1928 Halstead, KS). Ben's memorial was officiated by Tobias Unruh & Dan Holderman of McP, and Henry Schmidt of Marion Co. Ada was widowed thrice. Her 1st husband was Henry "Hank" Tobias Boese (b. 1915 McP Co., KS - d. 1974 Elmdale, Chase, KS), son of Tobias Jacob Boese (b. 1887 Leliwa, Poland - d. 1957 Newton, KS) & Carrie Buller Boese (b. 1886 Halstead, KS - d. 1956 Newton, KS). Her 2nd husband was Roy Dale Unruh (b. 1910 Galva, KS - d. 1987 Newton, KS), son of Andrew David Unruh (b. 1868 Russia) & Susanna "Susie" Leo Becker Unruh (b. 1872 Ukraine - d. 1961 Halstead, KS).  In early 1950, Richard Burson co-officiated a joint memorial at the First Mennonite Church in Hutch., alongside Rev. L.A. Habegger. The two being buried were Leslie's 1st mother-in-law (Lena Becker), and Lena's daughter Laurine Becker Koehn. Laurine's children included Innes Koehn (Malinda's nephew) who raised his family at the Hutch assembly in the early 1950's. Becker Jantz '''+1958-1975+'''(b. 1911 Goltry, OK - d. 1994 Halstead, KS), daughter of Peter Jacob Becker (b. 1881 KS) & Elizabeth "Lena" P. Unruh Becker (b. 1881 KS - d. 1950). Lena's father was Tobias Unruh who officiated Leslie's 2nd wife's grandfather Ben's memorial. * 2nd wife (1996 @ Newton, KS): Ada Marie Becker Boese-Unruh-Jantz (b. 1923 Galva, KS - d. 2005 Wichita, KS), daughter of Abraham "Abe" Jacob C. Becker (b. 1888 Galva, KS - d. 1969 McPherson, KS) & Elizabeth "Lizzie" J. Becker (b. 1893 Halstead, Harvey, KS - d. 1970 McPherson, KS).
