Dr. Hugh Johnson Munro was born June 11, 1884 and raised in Forest, Lambdon County, Ontario, Canada to [[George Munro]] (1842-1892) and [[Margaret Johnson Munro]] (1857-1944). George was born in Caithness, Scotland and married in 1877 in Lambdon to Margaret Leitch Johnson who was born in Hamilton. Margaret was born in Forest, but her parents Hugh Johnson (1819-1911) and Flora Patterson Hamilton (1821-1907) were from Scotland.
Hugh's siblings were [[Flora P.N. Munro Hawthorne]] (1879-), [[James John Alexander Munro]] (1883-1942), [[Augusta Victoria Munro Vance]] (1887-1988), and [[Donnellda Caroline Munro]] (1888-1966).
