He often greeted folks as they arrived at church, handing out bulletins, and letting others know how welcomed they were. Often when people suffered some type of personal or property loss, Eddie would help out by offering them furniture until they could recover their losses. Eddie loved reading the Bible and listening to sermons on radio and TV. Together with Rose, they offered frequent hospitality to visiting preachers. Both were faithful in caring for God's people and rarely let an opportunity pass where they did not share God's love with those with whom they had met." (from his obit)
